Part D (Prescription Drug)
Part D includes reimbursement for prescription drug costs and reimburses the remaining 20% of the traditional plan at a base plan premium of $13-$30 per month. Higher premiums may apply if specific medications are required. Please note that Part D must be purchased within 7 months of your 65th birthday and delayed applications will result in a late application penalty.
As a reminder, just because you buy Part D does not mean you don’t have to pay for the medication after you pay the monthly fee to get it. The cost to pay for each drug varies, so be sure to provide a list of medications when selecting a plan.
